Kismat Community Guidelines
Version 4. Effective: 3 November 2026.
Kismat is for adults who want to meet people for real: for dating, a relationship, friendship or shared activities. These guidelines say what we expect from everyone. They form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to content being removed, a pause of your profile, or a ban.
1. Adults only
- You must be 18 or older. Give your real date of birth.
- Anything that sexualises a person under 18, real, drawn or AI-generated, is forbidden without exception. We report it to the authorities and close the account.
- If you think someone on Kismat is under 18, report it. These reports go to our team first.
2. Be yourself
- Only use photos of yourself. No photos of other people, famous people or influencers, no photos taken from the internet.
- Your main photo must clearly show your face.
- No AI-generated faces, face swaps or deepfakes. Light filters are fine as long as you still look like you.
- Give true information about your age, gender and what you are looking for.
- One account per person.
3. Photos
- Allowed: clear, recent photos of you, photos of your hobbies, travels or pets in which you can be seen, and group photos with up to three people if your other photos show you clearly.
- Not allowed: nudity, underwear or swimwear photos focused on intimate areas, sexual poses; photos of children, also your own and also as an extra photo; weapons, drugs, violence or hate symbols; screenshots, memes, text graphics or advertising; very dark, blurry or tiny photos; groups of four or more people.
- If we remove a photo, we tell you why in the Your Kismat thread. If you think it is a mistake, reply there and a person will look at it.
4. Respect
- Treat people the way you would face to face. No insults, threats, slurs or degrading comments.
- No hate or discrimination because of origin, skin colour, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or appearance.
- If someone does not reply, unmatches or blocks you, accept it. Repeated contact against someone's will is harassment.
- No unsolicited sexual messages or images.
- No sexual extortion (sextortion): never threaten to share intimate images and never pressure anyone to send them.
- Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
- No doxxing: do not share another person's address, workplace or other private details.
- Do not record, screenshot or share someone's photos, messages or Blind Date video without their consent.
5. Blind Date
- Stay dressed and keep it non-sexual. Nudity or sexual acts on camera end the call.
- Only you should be on camera. Never show a child.
- No weapons, drugs or violence on screen, no harassment.
- You can end or report a call at any time.
6. No scams, no selling
- Never ask for money, gifts, gift cards or crypto, and never send any. Anyone who asks for money on a dating app is very likely a scammer.
- No sex work, escort services, sugar arrangements or anything linked to human trafficking.
- No advertising, recruiting, multi-level marketing or links to other platforms.
- No contact details or links in your bio or in the first messages; exchange them when you trust each other.
- No fake accounts, bots or automated access.
7. Keep it legal
No illegal content or activity: no drugs or weapons trade, no fraud, no threats, no content that infringes the rights of others.
8. Reporting
- Report a profile, a chat or a Blind Date in the app through the menu or the report button. Reasons include fake profile, inappropriate content, underage, harassment, scam or spam, and someone using another person's photos.
- Reporting hides you from each other. You can also block someone at any time.
- Anyone, also without an account, can report illegal content at kismat.at/report.
- If you are in danger, call the police on 133 or the emergency number 112 first.
- Please only report in good faith. Reports from accounts that are new, linked to each other or have never interacted with the reported member do not count toward automatic measures, but our team still sees them.
9. What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious the breach is and whether it happened before, we remove content, hold a message, pause a profile, remove the verified badge or ban the account. Some first steps are automatic (for example a photo removal for a clear breach, or a review hold after several credible reports); a ban is always decided by a person. Serious breaches, such as content sexualising minors, sextortion, threats or large-scale scams, lead to a ban on the first occurrence and, where the law requires or a person is in danger, to a report to the authorities. You always receive the reasons and can contest the decision. The Notice and Action Policy explains the details.
10. Appeals
If you think a decision was wrong, reply in the Your Kismat thread or write to support@kismat.at within 6 months. If your account is banned, use the appeal form the app shows you. A person reviews every appeal. If we were wrong, we restore your content or account.
